Mahanavami, also known as Durga Navami, marks the ninth day of Navratri festival and is considered highly auspicious in the Hindu religion. Maha Navami literary means &#8211; the great ninth day.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Maha Navami is also celebrated as the victory of good over evil. It is believed that on this day Goddess Durga took the form of Mahisasur Mardini to destroy Mahishaura, the demon who was terrorizing the universe.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>India is a diverse country and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mangliks.com\/matrimonial-blog\/maha-navami-2021-date-time-and-significance\/\">Mahanavami<\/a> is celebrated in many ways across the nation. In the northern part of India, Kanya Puja is observed on this day, while in Gujarat, Mahanavmi is celebrated with Garba and dandiya raas as other eight days of Navratri.
